1. Deactivation of Tasks now available
This functionality allows you to deactivate tasks on projects, and prevents users from booking time against those inactive tasks. If you would like this enabled for your business, please contact our support team to switch it on for you (email@example.com).
To deactivate a Task Type on a project, simply change its status while updating the task and save the project.
Once a task is deactivated, the task's status is visible on the user's timesheet, and needs to be removed before the timesheet can be submitted.
If the user doesn't remove inactive tasks from their timesheet, the Submit button will be greyed out and the following message will appear in the Submit timesheet window: 'There is at least one inactive timesheet activity line. Please update it to submit the timesheet'.
2. Auto-Approval settings streamlined
We have changed the way that Auto-approvals work for timesheets and expenses. Previously resources that had auto-approval assigned had to be set as their own supervisor.
Now, you can switch on Auto-approval at a profile level. We have created a new setting 'auto_approve' in our security settings which means you can enable this for a profile and any user assigned to this profile will have their timesheet and expenses auto-approved after submission.
3. Custom Fields now viewable for Expenses during approvals
All custom fields for Expenses are now visible in the Approval tab, allowing Approvers to view all the details of an expense before approving it.
