Public projects are projects that are visible for everyone, not only to its participants and everyone can log their time against them without the need to have a booking on them.
To use public projects setting, profiles that should see and log time against public projects need to have the security item can_see_public_projects set to Y.
To set a project or phase as public you need to have access to see and edit projects. If you don't have the needed permissions, please contact your System Administrator.
Where can I find the public setting on projects?
1a) On simple projects, the public setting is placed on the parent project. When creating a new simple project, the Public Project setting appears after switching the Simple project on.
To make the project public, drag the 'Public Project' button to the right so it turns green.
1b) On multi-phases projects, the public setting is placed on each phase so each phase can have a different accessibility for end users. To make a phase public, drag the 'Public Phase' button to the right so it turns green.
2) When a project is set to public, it is available for everyone in the 'Add booking' drop down on MyPrecursive page and also on the Scheduling page.
3) You can change the public setting on projects or phases when updating them.
