Preempt allows users to group resources by Grade or Department. It is very helpful while scheduling and assigning resources to projects or activities.
Grade can be also used as Project Role. During New Booking creation you can choose from the drop down list a Role to which Project's Participant will be assigned to.
In the Scheduling page grouping by Department or Grade helps you to have an overall view on whole organization and see the occupancy of your team.
The default option is grouping data by Department.
If you want to change it go to Setup.
Click on Custom Settings in App Setup → Develop.
Click on Preempt Global Settings → Manage → Global and then click on the Edit button.
In the User Group field, then change to Grade and click on the Save button.
Go to the Scheduling page, refresh it and all the resources should be already filtered by Grade.
