To predefine Roles and Grades in your organization so they are available on the Roles and Grades picklists and you can filter on the Scheduling by them, go to the Roles tab.
If you want to create only Roles, you can do this on the Admin page in the Roles tab. If you want to create Roles and Grades, go to the Roles tab..
You will find it on All Tabs list after clicking the Plus button on your tabs bar.
Click the Roles tab. The Roles and Grades table will appear.
Roles in this case will be positions with the Group field populated.
Grades will be those positions on the list which have both Name and Group fields populated.
To create a Role or Grade, click on the New Role button.
If you want to create a Role, in the New Role tab enter the Role's name into the Name field.
If you want to create a Grade, in the New Role tab enter the Grade's name into the Name and Group field. **Please take note that for each record, two record lines will appear**
When your custom setting 'User Group Field' is set to Grade which basically means that your Scheduling page is grouped by Grade, and security item 'can_see_cost_rates' is set to Yes, you can use Value field to display the cost for the group of grade.
Fullfil the fields you would like to be calculated in budgets:
- Daily Cost
- Daily Rate
- Hourly Cost
- Hourly Rate
- Overtime Hourly Rate
Click Save or Save and New, depending if you want to create more Roles or Grades.
