Utilisation calculations are stored on the Utilisation object in Precursive. You can view those in our standard reports in the ‘Precursive Utilisation Trends’ folder. You can also build your own utilisation custom reports using our ‘Utilisation’ report type as a template.
Each Utilisation record represents a specific week in a month for a resource and includes such calculations as: Planned and Actual Time, Billable and Non-billable time, Number of Working Days, Total Available Hours, Start and End Date of the Week, Week Number, Planned and Actual Utilisation - Billable and Non-billable.
The Number of Working Days and the Total of Available Hours calculations exclude the resource non-working days and any time offs set up for the week.
Utilisation records are calculated on a weekly basis (every weekend) and account for the past month and next 6 months.
To manually recalculate it for a specific period of time:
- Navigate to Precursive HQ
- In the Utilisation tile select the time range which you want to recalculate (you can recalculate up to 6 month at once)
- Click ‘Recalculate Utilisation’
- Once the ‘Recalculate Utilisation’ action is completed, you can recalculate a new time range
