Below you can find our key features included in the latest release:
Precursive Multicurrency
With our new Summer Release ‘20, you can manage your Projects, Resources and Expenses all in various currencies. We convert between the cost of a resource, the project billable rate to work out the budget, cost, revenue, and of course, the margin into a Project currency, as well as always calculating this in the orgs base currency.
Along with that, we also improved the promotion feature to include the costs changes over time and we keep the information about those changes on each timesheet entry. This will also now allow you to report on promotions and costs on a daily level.
Please note - once the Multicurrency feature is enabled, it cannot be disabled. By default, the setting is off.
How exchange rates are applied to records in Precursive
Add custom fields to Resource, Phase and Project modals
You can now add your own fields to the New Resource/Project/Phase Modals and configure what fields should be available when you create a new record. This is a great way to speed up your records’ creation and can be configured to match your business process. To set this up, you need System Admin access.
Add Custom Fields to Project and Phases records
Set most of our Background Processes with a simple click:
- Calculate budget
- Calculate utilisation
- Check overdue timesheets
- Auto-approve end of month
- Send email reminders
- Calculate remaining holidays
These functionalities sit now in the Precursive HQ section. The batches are still running in the background, but you can now trigger or cancel them with one click. We have extended the list of processes to give you easier access to functions you use on a daily basis.
Background Processes and Colour Configuration
Embed Precursive Plan component into the Project, Phases or Participants records
You can now schedule people to projects, see their capacity, book and assign resource requests directly from the project page. The view is pre-filtered to the context of the record in which it sits - so that you see only the bookings of the participant, phase, or the project you are looking at. You will see it in the name of the filter in the top right corner. You can still use the ‘Show all Bookings’ function to display other projects to which participants of this project/phase were also added. The component can be used in the same way you would use the Precursive Plan page - but is now under your hand on the Project record.

Automate your projects with single-phases
You can now choose if all projects you create via automation or uploaded with the data loader become single-phase ones directly during creation. For more details, please check our article here
The option can be set with a Salesforce System Admin access.
Timesheet performance
Enough of waiting for the items to save? This is now done! On the timesheet, new entries are now saved in the background - and you will notice the difference, especially if using the tab key to move between records. And longer comments are not a problem anymore, you can now expand the comment window.
